Well I've heard and read all about blogging, and I figure I would try my hand at it to see how things go.
I just spent the past couple of hours making some changes to my web site www.vonp.com. Its been sitting dormant now for quite a few months. I had that lame "under construction" page up for who knows how many months now.
So I figured I'd at least add a few pages today. I decided to do a little research on the pronunciation of the family name since it is butchered so often, and ended up writing a whole page dedicated to the pronunciation of the name.
That turned into me just copying and pasting a blurb of family history and then uploaded a couple of pictures.
Funny how one thing becomes another when you are playing with your web site.
After I finished both of those pages, I decided to add the blogging function, and here I am typing away at my measly little laptop in a hotel room out in a suburb of Minneapolis called Edina. Mind you on my turtle slow 56k dial-up connection.. need I say more about my connection?
Funny how these things work out, but blogging is just the right speed for such a connection.
I apologize for the lame template, but I haven't looked at the blogging template yet, and I assure you I will make some changes one night when I have some sort of epiphany and decide to change it.
Anyways it's a little colder here than California. Glad I brought my jacket!
Visit my other website at: www.riftzone.net it's devoted to the outdoors, and some of my photographic endeavors.
